With our diverse population, Howard County is in an ideal position to set an example for the nation in terms of equity and diversity. We are fortunate to live in such a culturally rich and diverse community with people in our community from all regions of the world, races, ethnicities, religions, socio-economic statuses, ages and genders. We need to make sure our minorities are adequately represented throughout our county, in leading roles and in other influential positions so we can make policies that account for all of us, not just a select few. We need to not only support our diversity but give our diversity a seat at the table. I will work to implement programs to provide equity for everyone, from our schools to our jobs and housing. Resources need to be distributed in an equitable manner so everyone has equal opportunity to succeed.

I will work for:

• Equity and Social Justice throughout the County.
• Affordable Housing, and equity in housing and development policies.
• Equal opportunity in government jobs.
• Equal Access to Healthcare.
• Providing resources for our increasing Homeless Population and ending homelessness in Howard County.
• Support for Caretakers of disabled residents.
• Improved resources for transition of our disabled students from the public-school system.
• Support for local Veterans.
• Service for the Aging/Seniors.
• Equal access to citizen input on county issues/hearings, expand use of technology to give more people the opportunities to participate in the county government process and have their voices heard.
